With over 18,000 active enterprises, the textile and footwear industry is one of Vietnam’s key export pillars.

The majority of these businesses are foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises, and the United States remains the industry's largest export market. Specifically, in the textile and garment segment, over 1,500 domestic manufacturers and around 1.4 million workers are directly involved in export production for the U.S., mostly as contract manufacturers for global brands like Nike, Adidas, and others.
