Open industrial parks in key areas

According to the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Dak Lak Province: In the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, the locality proposes to add 3 more industrial parks (IPs), with a total area of 1,180 hectares, including Industrial park in M'Drak district (area 300ha), Industrial park in Ea Kar district (480ha) and Industrial park in Ea H'leo district (400ha). These industrial parks are expected to be implemented after 2030.

All three industrial parks are planned in key areas of the province, with quite high population density, large areas, and especially a large number of ethnic minorities living.

According to the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Dak Lak province, the province has only Hoa Phu Industrial Park with a total investment in technical infrastructure construction of more than 260 billion VND.

Up to now, there are 60 projects registered to invest in this area with a total registered investment capital of 6,032 billion VND, with an area occupancy rate of nearly 100%. The industrial park currently creates stable jobs for 2,445 local workers, including 869 ethnic minority workers.

More jobs for workers

Previously, the entire Dak Lak province had only Hoa Phu industrial park but it has been filled. Currently, many businesses want to come to Dak Lak to invest but have to wait for a new industrial park project.

Ms. Ksor H'Hoa (Ea Sol commune, Ea H'leo district) - said: "I and some neighbors plan to go to Ho Chi Minh City to look for jobs to avoid unemployment. If the locality begins to build an industrial park in the near future, we will return and apply to work as workers."

Ms. Tran Thi Minh Ly - Head of the Department of Labor, Employment and Vocational Education (Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dak Lak province) - commented: "The province's inclusion of 3 industrial parks in planning will open up opportunities Huge job opportunity for workers in the area in the future.

In the immediate future, if construction is oriented in 3 districts, it will immediately solve the employment needs of ethnic minorities on the spot. That means they no longer have to go as far as Binh Duong, Dong Nai, or Ho Chi Minh City to find jobs in industrial parks."

Currently, the number of large enterprises employing a large number of workers in Dak Lak is still small and quite limited. In addition, workers who work close to home will feel more secure, save on travel costs, rent a house, and feel secure in production.

Previously, in June 2023, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Dak Lak province visited and surveyed a number of businesses in Hoa Phu industrial park and worked with the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board.

Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee suggested that projects that are slow to be implemented and use industrial land for the wrong purpose must be resolutely handled and recovered to create a land fund to attract businesses with needs and potential to invest. To ensure consistency in management and administration, and avoid overlaps and inadequacies in industrial parks, relevant units arrange and reorganize appropriately according to principles and in accordance with the actual situation. international.
