Vietnam seafood export performance ā Q3 2025: Seafood exports maintained positive momentum in Q3, rising +8.6% year-on-year (YoY) in value terms. Growth was recorded across most major markets, except the U.S. and Australia.
By product category:
š Pangasius increased slightly +3.3% QoQ
š¦ Whiteleg shrimp surged +22% QoQ
š¦ Squid and octopus rose +18.2% QoQ
š¦ Black tiger shrimp declined -11.2% QoQ and -6.4% YoY after strong Q2 growth š Tuna continued to fall -10.7% YoY
Outlook for Q4 2025
Looking ahead to Q4 2025, Vietnamās seafood exports are expected to decline by 5ā7% compared with Q3, equivalent to a modest year-on-year increase of +1.5% to +3%.
ā ļøThe slowdown will likely stem from:
Domestic supply disruptions due to storms and adverse weather;
Softening demand from major import markets;
Continued downward pressure on pangasius export prices;
Shrimp prices are potentially adjusting downward amid heightened competition from India.
