SUMMARY
 
Macro data in February 2023 has not shown any significant changes in the national economic picture. Specifically, the index of industrial production (IIP) 2M/2023 still decreased by 6.3% over the same period last year. Some sectors that fell sharply include electrical equipment manufacturing, furniture manufacturing, wood processing, paper & paper products, iron and steel, and textiles & footwear. The total export value in 2M/2023 still decreased by 10.0% over the same period last year, of which exports of domestic enterprises decreased by 17.5% over the same period last year.

The stock market in February 2023 and the first week of March lacked upward momentum when liquidity was continuously low, and foreign investors continued to be net sellers. In the 2nd week of March, VN-Index and trading value increased, but a clear recovery trend has not yet been formed.
 
According to Vietdata, the difficult situation may continue for many months to come. The reason is that there is always a lag in the effectiveness of policies, and the feasibility of implementing some policies/support packages is still a "big question".
