[VI] RUBBER INDUSTRY REPORT - NOVEMBER 2023

SUMMARY

In October 2023, rubber exports increased 12.9% over the previous month but decreased 2.4% over the same period. Supporting the upward momentum in the month thanks to positive exports to China, the EU, and the US.

In general, in 10M/2023, export output is only equivalent to the same period last year. However, compared to other major rubber exporting countries, Vietnam's export situation is relatively better (while Thailand's export volume decreased by 9%, and Indonesia's export volume decreased by 18%).

The main export support comes from the Chinese market (increasing 9.3% in volume over the same period and accounting for 78.7% of the total industry export volume). Meanwhile, export volume to other markets decreased sharply.

In terms of types, HS4002 synthetic rubber exports increased sharply thanks to the Chinese market, and SVR CV60 also increased significantly thanks to the South Korea market.
