SUMMARY
 
In the first 2 months of 2024, the total global natural rubber supply increased over the same period, estimated at 2.25 million tons. Meanwhile, consumption increased by 8.5% over the same period, estimated at 2.4 million tons. Because total demand is higher than total supply, world natural rubber prices have increased continuously from the beginning of the year until now.
 
In Vietnam, rubber exports in the first 2 months of the year increased positively in both output and export prices. Specifically,
Vietnam has exported nearly 300 thousand tons of rubber of all kinds. Exports increased positively in most markets. Especially, export output to two major markets, China and India, increased.
The average export price in the first 2 months of the year increased nearly 4% over the same period last year. However, the price increase of exported shipments is still lower than the general increase in world rubber prices from the beginning of the year until now.
