SUMMARY
 
Fertilizer exports in October continued to be weak, down 21.3% over the same period, although they increased compared to the previous month. The increase in the month was due to a sudden increase in exports to Malaysia and South Korea, while exports to other markets still decreased sharply.
 
However, during the month, domestic fertilizer demand increased because it was entering the Winter-Spring sowing period. But the increase is still not much.
 
Fertilizer price outlook: According to Vietdata, world fertilizer prices are unlikely to increase significantly, but they are also unlikely to decrease deeply due to adverse factors. Vietnam's fertilizer exports are unlikely to increase strongly in the remainder of 2023, due to weak global demand. However Vietnamese exports may have opportunities if they know how to capture shifting orders from traditional partners of Chinese fertilizer (especially the South Korea market).
