SUMMARY
 
According to estimates by the Vietnam National Cement Association, in October 2023, industry-wide production reached 10.24 million tons, of which 5.55 million tons of cement (down 12.2% over the same period); But the consumption situation is positive, reaching 7.6 million tons (up 1.8% over the same period). Thanks to that, industry-wide inventories (especially finished cement products) are gradually decreasing.
 
Cement consumption in the domestic market reached 4.97 million tons, which is relatively positive, compared to the average of the months since mid-Q2 until now, but still down 7.6% over the same period. And the situation improved steadily in all regions.
 
Exports reached 2.66 million tons, of which cement reached 1.75 million tons. This is the 6th consecutive month, that finished cement exports reached over 1.7 million tons. This is a high output level compared to the monthly average so far.
