SUMMARY
In 07/2023, the business situation of cement enterprises is still difficult. Consumption in the domestic market remains weak. Domestic sales are estimated at 4.48 million tons, down 13.9% over the same period. Export volume improved for the third consecutive month, up nearly 28% over the same period. However, this level of output is still only about 75% compared to the period Q1/2022 and earlier.
The momentum of improving exports in the month continued thanks to the Philippines, Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Australia. Meanwhile, demand in Taiwan dropped sharply after a decent increase in Q2.
Accumulated 7M/2023, exports reached 18.54 million tons (down 2.7% over the same period), of which exports of finished cement increased by 14.5%, and clinker decreased by 20.3%.
