SUMMARY
 
In the 11 months period, seafood export exceeded the year plan, reaching $10.17 billion, up 27.4% over the same period last year. This result is mainly due to strong growth in the first 3 quarters of the year with advantages of market demand, increased export prices and sufficient raw materials to supply orders. However, seafood exports slowed down in the past 3 months and was most evident in the export results in October (up only 1.8% year-on-year), and November (down 13.3% year-on-year).
 
Particularly in November, exports of most products and markets decreased significantly. Specifically, the export of two key products, namely pangasius, decreased by 18.6% compared to the previous month and  shrimp decreased by 16.6% compared to the previous month. Among the major export markets, the US, EU and Canada were the three markets that recorded the strongest decline.
