SUMMARY
 
Regarding rice exports: Although it coincided with the Tet holiday, Vietnam's rice exports in February continued to grow positively. However, the price of Vietnamese rice exports in February was adjusted to decrease compared to January 2024 but still increased by 24% over the same period. With abundant supply from the winter-spring crop and the world supply and demand situation, Vietnam's rice exports are expected to continue to increase in the coming months. Vietnam's rice export price has an advantage when the price level is currently lower than other competitors.
 
Regarding cashew exports: Continuing the momentum of prosperity in 2023, the cashew market in the first 2 months of the year continued to grow well. However, most businesses in the cashew industry are facing difficulties, first of all, the cashew kernel price has not shown signs of recovery and has dropped by more than half since February 2018. It should be noted that the increase is mainly due to record high export volume in January to serve increased demand during Tet, while export output in February decreased sharply.
