SUMMARY
 
Q1/2021 ended with quite positive domestic macroeconomic indicators. Specifically, GDP increased quite well in the context that the global economy was still struggling. Disbursement of state budget capital has been promoted, contributing to creating growth momentum. Exports increased not only thanks to the growth of FDI enterprises but also because the export volume of many key products of Vietnam also increased. Domestic consumption recorded a higher increase than in the same period last year (especially in the retail sector) even though there was an outbreak of epidemics near the Lunar New Year...
 
However, the concern that needs to be monitored in the coming months is the escalating price of many fuels, causing difficulties in production and business of many industries; putting pressure on inflation in the last months of the year. Specifically, the price of fertilizer, animal feed, steel, and plastic raw materials (plastic beads) increased sharply by 20-30% within the first 3 months of the year.
