SUMMARY
 
In February, exports of the whole seafood industry increased by 63% over the previous year. Accordingly, the total seafood export value in 2M/2022 reached more than USD1.5 billion , up 50.6% compared to 2M/2021 thanks to favorable export prices and positive demand from most markets.
 
In terms of commodities, exports of most main products increased sharply compared to 2M/2021, of which the two main products, pangasius, continued to increase strongly.
 
Regarding the market, the value of seafood exports to most markets increased well, especially the US, EU, Canada and Brazil. Even exports to the Chinese market also recovered quite positively in the first 2 months of the year.
