SUMMARY
 
In October 2022, the production and export situation of the whole industry revealed difficulties, especially in the textile and garment industry. Specifically, the manufacturing index in the industry was generally only at a low level compared to the first months of the year. Production output of ready-made garments, leather footwear, and fabrics made from natural fibers was continuously at low levels in September and October. Exports from the textile and garment industry in the month continued to decrease compared to the previous month, especially significantly reduced for curtain fabrics / other technical fabrics and raw materials.
 
Generally, in 10M/2022, garment exports increased by 21.6%, footwear by 41.4%, bags by 40.0%, and textile fibers by 18.0% in volume and 10.6% in value over the same period in 2021.
