Construction steel price today 9/12: Steel market price increased sharply

On December 9, many domestic steel brands adjusted their selling prices. Meanwhile, the Shanghai exchange increased to 3,882 yuan/ton.

Steel prices in the North

According to SteelOnline.vn, Vietnam Italy steel adjusted to increase selling price, with CB240 coil increased by VND310, from 14,440 VND/kg to 14,750 VND/kg; meanwhile, D10 CB300 steel increased by VND300, to 15,050 dong/kg.


As for the Viet Duc steel brand, with 2 product lines including CB240 coil, currently stable at 14,280 VND/kg; with rebar D10 CB300 priced at 14,690 VND/kg.


With VAS steel, CB240 coil line is stable at 14,310 VND/kg; D10 CB300 rebar line is priced at 14,620 VND/kg.


Hoa Phat steel brand continues to be stable, with CB240 coil at VND 14,500/kg; D10 CB300 rebar is priced at 14,600 VND/kg.


Steel prices in the Central

Viet Duc Steel increased by VND230, the current line of CB240 coils is 14,850 dong/kg; D10 CB300 rebar is priced at 15,250 VND/kg.


VAS steel, with CB240 coil increased by VND310, to 14,570 VND/kg; Rebar D10 CB300 increased sharply by VND300, priced at 14,870 VND/kg.


Hoa Phat Steel has no change, with CB240 coil at 14,310 VND/kg; D10 CB300 rebar is priced at 14,820 VND/kg.


Steel prices in the South

Pomina Steel increased sharply in selling price, with CB240 coil increased by VND380, to 15,960 VND/kg; Rebar D10 CB300 increased by VND490, after adjustment is now priced at 16,170 dong/kg.


Hoa Phat Steel has no change, CB240 coil is at 14,360 VND/kg; Meanwhile, D10 CB300 rebar is priced at 14,570 VND/kg.


VAS steel, CB240 coil line at 14,310 VND/kg; and with rebar D10 CB300 increased sharply by VND210, currently priced at 14,620 dong/kg.


Steel price on the exchange

Steel price delivery term in May 2023 on the Shanghai exchange today increased 67 yuan, to 3,882 yuan/ton.


China's iron ore imports in November rose 4.1 percent month on month, the country's customs data showed, as buyers stocked up before year-end, in anticipation of Beijing's measures to support the struggling property market.


China's General Administration of Customs said that the world's top iron ore consumer imported 98.85 million tonnes last month, up from 94.98 million tonnes in October. However, arrivals were much lower than November's 105 million tons, the highest level in two years.


From January to November, China imported 1.02 billion tons of iron ore, down 2.1% year-on-year. Last month, the country's steel product exports were 5.59 million tons, up from 4.36 million in November 2021. Exports in the first 11 months of the year increased 0.4 percent year-on-year to 61.95 million tons.
