Q1/2023: Vietnam's import-export turnover reaches US$154.27 billion

Q1/2023, the total import and export turnover of goods reaches US$154.27 billion; the trade balance had a trade surplus of $4.07 billion.


According to the General Statistics Office, the total import and export turnover of goods in March reaches US$58.49 billion, up 18.6% over the previous month and down 13% over the same period last year. Generally, in the first quarter of 2023, the total import and export turnover of goods reaches US$154.27 billion, down 13.3% over the same period last year, of which exports decreased by 11.9%; imports decreased by 14.7%.

Export turnover in Q1/2023 reaches US$79.17 billion, down 11.9% over the same period last year. In which, there are 14 items with export turnover of over US$1 billion (accounting for 77.4% of total export turnover) and 04 items with export turnover of over US$5 billion(accounting for 52.8%).


Import turnover in Q1/2023 reaches US$75.1 billion, down 14.7% over the same period last year. In which, there are 17 imported items worth over US$1 billion (accounting for 75.1% of total import turnover) and 02 imported items with over US$5 billion (accounting for 37.6%).
