The economy in the month recorded some positive signs, but difficulties still exist. 
 
Some positive points: During the month, deposit interest rates at commercial banks continued to decrease rapidly in accordance with the orientation of the State Bank. The number of businesses registering for new establishment and returning to operation has improved, showing that businesses' confidence in business prospects is more positive than in previous months. Difficulties and challenges: The number of businesses withdrawing from the market continued to increase during the month. The business situation is still difficult, the situation of reducing personnel and narrowing business premises is common in many vital industries and provinces. The credit balance of the whole system still increased slowly, while non-performing loans of many commercial banks by the end of Q2/2023 increased strongly.
