SUMMARY
 
In May, the value of seafood exports increased compared to the same period last year and increased in many markets. In particular, the EU market grew the most. The export price of pangasius/shrimp was generally higher than at the end of 2023. The price of raw pangasius/shrimp in the month remained stable/decreased.
 
In terms of products, seafood exports continued to increase gradually in most key products. Of these, tuna exports increased most positively. Pangasius, squid & octopus increased by 5-9% over the same period. Particularly for shrimp, the export value increased significantly compared to the previous month but was lower than the same month last year.
