SUMMARY 
 
In Q1-2024, Vietnam's cashew export output reached 809 thousand tons, increasing sharply in both volume and value. In particular, the volume exported to major markets increased compared to the same period last year. 
 
However, the average cashew export price in Q1 decreased to 5,368 USD/ton. Particularly, the export price of W320 cashew nuts has increased since the beginning of the year and currently, the price of this type of cashew is still higher than at the end of last year, although not much.
 
Outlook: Export output may continue to increase thanks to good demand in main export markets. Among them, China is expected to increase most positively, especially the demand for large-sized and high-quality cashew nuts.
 
However, cashew production and processing enterprises are still facing difficulties due to the continuous decline in cashew kernel prices. Enterprise profit margins are increasingly narrowing. Competitive pressure for Vietnamese cashew nuts in the export market is increasing.
