SUMMARY
 
In November 2022, steel production continued to be moderate, because consumption (both domestic sales and export) had not prospered and inventories were still high. This is the 4th month in a row that output is at a low level, equivalent to only 50% of that in May.
 
Specifically, November's domestic sales continued to be at a low level compared to the first months of the year and decreased by 8.1% over the same period last year. Consumption decreased in almost all categories, except construction steel increased, and galvanized steel & SPM improved. Export volume in November continued to decline by 46.7% year-on-year, although it increased by 10.4% month-on-month.
 
Accumulated 11M/2022, steel production reached 34.66 million tons (down 5.7% over the same period last year). Exports reached 7.58 million tons (down 37.8% over the same period last year). Domestic sales increased by 2.9% over the same period last year.
