SUMMARY
 
In May 2022, the major balances of the economy did not change much compared to the previous month and continued to have a positive recovery momentum. The production, export, domestic consumption, and FDI disbursement continued to grow well compared to the same period in 2021. In which, there are some positive signals when existing FDI enterprises continue/or have plans to expand production and business in Vietnam.
 
In addition, for the domestic sector, the number of newly established enterprises and returning to operation after the temporary break due to the epidemic is increasing sharply. While the number of enterprises waiting for dissolution and completing dissolution procedures has decreased markedly.
 
However, the remarkable economic focus in May is still the big fluctuations in the financial market. In the first half of May, stock indexes and market liquidity continued the strong decline from the previous month. The issuance of corporate bonds in the month continued to be "dismal" compared to the same period last year.
