SUMMARY
 
In April, steel production continued to grow positively, especially crude iron, and steel production recovered quite well (up 12%) compared to March 2022 and increased slightly over the same period. Total production of steel in the first 4 months of the year reached 15.1 million tons, a slight increase of 1.9% compared to 4M/2021.
 
Domestic consumption of steel products in the month decreased sharply compared to the previous month and compared to April 2021. Exports in the month continued to decrease by 3.7% compared to April 2021, although there was a slight increase compared to the previous month.
 
STEEL PRICE MOVEMENT:
From mid-April until now, the world price of iron ore and steel has tended to "cool down" in most major markets (including China, the US, and the EU).
