SUMMARY
 
In April 2022, the Textile and Garment industry continued to recover in both production and export. In which, the production index of the group of ready-made garments still maintained a high growth rate of 20.5% over the previous year (although the growth momentum slowed down compared to the previous month), and the group of leather and leather products accelerated by more than 17.4 % Compared with the last year. Meanwhile, for the Textile group, the production of woven fabrics from synthetic/man-made fibers has continuously decreased since the beginning of the year compared to the same period in 2021. For exports, in April, most of the item's goods grew by 17-28% over the previous year (except for yarn & textile).
 
Generally, in the first 4 months of the year, the textile and garment group increased by 21.1% over the previous year, and the leather, footwear, and handbags group increased by 13.5% over the previous year. In terms of markets, exports increased well in most major markets (except China).
